arch madness Arch Madness: Day 1 kicks off with the MO State Bears vs Southern IL Salukis, then and Drake vs Bradley. On Friday, Wichita State plays Thursday’s winner Bears vs Saluki winner, IL State vs Evansville, Northern Iowa vs Drake/Bradley winner, and Indiana State vs Loyola. the Semifinals are on Saturday, followed by the championship game of the Missouri Valley Conference on Sunday. We gave away 2 tickets to the championship game in our February Friday Vine contest. Want to know what we’re giving away in March? Subscribe and/or check back on Friday!

Thursday

GLVCBasketball GLVC Basketball Championship Tournament: The 2015 GLVC Basketball Championship Tournaments will feature 16 seeded teams, including eight men’s and eight women’s squads that will have earned an invitation following first-round matchups on their respective campuses. On Thursday, the men’s quarterfinals will take place with four games at noon, 2:30pm, 6pm, and 8:30pm. Friday’s action will feature the four women’s quarterfinal contests at the same times. Both the men’s and the women’s semifinals will commence on Saturday as the men take to the court at noon followed by the women at 6pm. The men’s GLVC Champion will be crowned at 1pm on Sunday, followed by the women’s final at 3:30pm. All-Tournament passes are $38. Single-session ticket is $18 for adults and seniors, and $11 for students with a valid ID. Children ages 6 and under are free.

Attend DIY seminars at Fred’s Shed Interactive Learning Center, and learn from a real marine mechanic and other experts on how to best care for your boat. Also try the DEMA Dive Tank. Bring your bathing suit and DEMA Scuba experts will supply the rest. Compete in turkey calling or owl hooting contests. See native fish in action at the Texas Bass Tank. And youngens will want to visit Kids’ Cove where they can enjoy the free Becky Thatcher Trout Pond and Captain Tim and Gypsy Rose Landship.

hot country nights Hot Country Nights: Ballpark Village started a series of country nights with awesome country artists performing every weekend in February & March. It kicked off with Dustin Lynch followed by a free show with Jana Kramer. As the 1st March perfromance, Tyler Farr will be performing this Friday night on the FOX Midwest Sports Live! stage. Tyler’s hits include: A Guy Walks Into A Bar and Redneck Crazy. Must be 21 to attend. Show starts at 8pm. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of.

cam First Friday at CAM: Enjoy an evening of art, music, and culture in Grand Center. Stop in for an exhibition tour led by Museum staff, enjoy a drink at the bar and music from Nappy DJ Needles. Tonight only, collaboration with VSA Missouri, CAM offers a special American Sign Language tour. Celebrate the opening of Geta Brătescu: Drawings with the Eyes Closed at 7:00 pm in the Front Room. A central figure in postwar Romanian art, Brătescu works in a variety of media, including collage, textiles, engraving, photography, video, and performance. Marking the US premiere of a series of drawings, artist’s books, and a seminal video, Drawings with the Eyes Closed provides a multifaceted look at the artist’s work.

Getting dolled up in the spirit of Great Gatsby, speakeasies and The Charleston is highly encouraged! Feel free to bring food and beverage as well as plenty of betting money for the hot races and with great raffle prizes and a silent auction there will be plenty of ways to spend your winnings! This year ticket purchase includes entry and one free raffle ticket.

Blues15_Banner St. Louis Blues Festival: This 10th annual event features some of the hottest Blues performers, including: Mel Waiters, Sir Charles Jones, Lenny Williams, Bobby Rush, Shirley Brown, Theodis Ealey, and T.K. Soul. Check out the Blues is Alright Tour. Tickets range from $52 to $78.

shamrock-shuffle Shamrock Shuffle: The 2nd Annual Holy Infant Shamrock Shuffle on Saturday, March 7, 2015. This fun, family-oriented event drew 800+ entrants last year, and is sure to be even bigger and more exciting this year. The 5K Race/1-Mile Fun Run begins at Holy Infant and works its way through the neighborhoods of Ballwin. Your $30 entry fee for the 5K Run or $20 entry fee for the 1 Mile Fun Run also includes a dry-fit commemorative t-shirt, finisher medal, and much more.

netip Indian Festival of Colors: Like every year, the AWESOME INDIAN FESTIVAL OF COLORS IS BACK. Join NetIP STL as we celebrate HOLI! We will first enjoy the delicious Indian Buffet at Haveli discounted esp for NetIP…and then play holi in their parking lot. Live DJ & Dhol by Karan Pujji and an experience of a lifetime. Entry fee – $5/person. Colors will be provided by NetIP. Holi is all about Fun, Fun and Fun. No rituals, no rules, no regulations!

beans and  bikes Beans, Bikes & Brews: Trailnet is excited to announce our annual kick-off party. Join us for great food, live music from the Bottoms Up Blues Gang, raffle prizes (including a kid’s balance bike), and the unveiling of the 2015 Event Calendar. This year Trailnet will provide all of the chili – both meat and vegetarian. Attendees can choose to bring sides, salads, or desserts. However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
