At each venue, different pairings will be offered to highlight the qualities of the music, which will include selections from Handel, Mozart, Puccini, and Verdi, among others. Internationally celebrated conductor Ryan McAdams, a St. Louis native who returns to lead OTSL’s season-opening production of The Barber of Seville, emcees each evening, alongside the chef or sommelier who has crafted the tasting menu. Four talented young singers, each a recent or current member of Opera Theatre’s Gerdine Young Artists Program, will perform at the three events. After each performance, audiences are encouraged to stay and dine or enjoy drinks with the singers. Doesn’t know how to cook and survives pretty much on macaroni and cheese and pizza, so naturally, loves to eat out at restaurants. However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
