The St. Louis Guide to the best weekend events happening Thursday, December 4 through Sunday, December 7, 2014.

Featured Event

krampusnacht 2014 Saint Louis Krampusnacht 2014: Naughty girls and boys, beware. The dreadful Krampus is coming to St. Louis! He’s bringing his beastly friends to Cherokee Street to punish every wicked soul they find. Krampus festivals are common in parts of Austria, Germany and other European countries. Inspired by Alpine folklore, the festivals celebrate the region’s cultural heritage. They are also good excuses to get drunk, dress up and party. And Cherokee Street is bringing the tradition to the Midwest. Beginning at 5:30pm, there will be a pub crawl/Krampus Walk, starting at Fortune Teller Bar. This will be combined with a Krampus Walk, featuring hairy Krampus monsters and female Perchten. Enjoy street performers and a giant 15-foot Krampus puppet. Saint Nicholas will be on hand to keep the creatures under control…or try to, at least. The after-party will continue inside 2720 Club with a Krampus pageant. This macabre variety show will include burlesque artists, fire performers, live musicians, and all manner of deviltry and debauchery. To top it off, visitors can peruse a “Dark Christmas” art fair. Tickets are $15. Check out the video.

garth+brooks+new+album+preivew+ghostunesfb Garth Brooks in St. Louis: When Garth Brooks last played St. Louis, the Kiel Center had been open for two years in downtown St. Louis. A vacant space once used as the Kiel Opera House sat adjacent. It would be 15 years before that area would return to glory as Peabody Opera House. Garth will be returning to St. Louis this weekend for 4 shows on his US Tour. He’ll be playing the same stage he played in 1996, although the building now carries the Scottrade Center name. His wife, Trisha Yearwood, will be the opening act. All tickets are $71 and my guess is there are very few left, so get them before they’re all gone.

Jessica

Doesn’t know how to cook and survives pretty much on macaroni and cheese and pizza, so naturally, loves to eat out at restaurants. However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
