fwdesign Food Wine Design Culinary Week: Ten chefs, five nights, one amazing experience. Chefs from Pappy’s, The Libertine, Five Bistro, Nathalie’s, Acero, Tony’s, Mai Lee, Bar Les Freres, Juniper and Gamlin pair up for Farm-to-fork, Classic Italian, French-Vietnamese Fusion, and more delectable meals with carefully selected wine and beer pairings, cocktails from top mixologists, and inspirational tabletop designs.

jello mania Jello Mania: Get ready slip and slide as PBR St. Louis kicks off Jello Mania. Come out to cheer on the competitors while enjoying $5 Busch, Bud Light and Natty Daddy Tall Boys. Or compete and you could win: 1st Place Winner: $700, 2nd Place Winner: $200, 3rd Place Winner: $100. Stick around for Throwback Thursdays at Fox Midwest Sports Live with the Blood Brothers at 8pm.

stl uncorked STL Uncorked: Wine, music, and food trucks, what’s not to love? Over 40 wine and beer vendors, including locals such as Kirkwood Station Brewing Co, will be available for sampling. In addition, some awesome food trucks will be around for food purchase. The event is free to attend, but wine and food need to be purchased with cash. Live music from Andy Grammer, Marie Miller and Magic! on Friday night and A Great Big World, Jillette Johnson and Oh Honey on Saturday. Live music will start at 3pm on Friday and Noon on Saturday on the Y98 Mainstage.

twangfest Twangfest 18: Get ready to rock, rumble, twang and dance. Three nights of awesome music starting at Plush with Cody ChesnuTT, DeRobert & the Half-Truths, and Theresa Payne. Then the festival moves to Off Broadway, the original home of Twangfest, with Rodney Crowell, Shannon McNally, and T&A (Tom Hall and Alice Spencer) on Thursday, Centro-matic, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Beth Bombara on Friday, and The Dream Syndicate, Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express, and Magnolia Summer on Saturday. Single night tickets start at $15 or go for a 4-night VIP package for $135.

donut day Donut Day: Strange Donuts, Kuva Coffee, greetabl and Feast Magazine team up to host National Donut Day 2014. More than 30 St. Louis artists, restaurants, breweries and businesses will come together to celebrate the “day of the done.” Admission is $20 and includes all food and drink samples from Strange Donuts, Kuva Coffee, Perennial, Artisan Ales, Mai Lee Restaurant, Schlafly Beer, Pastaria by Niche, Salume Beddu, The Modern Brewery, Adam’s Smokehouse, and more. DJ sets by Billy Brown, Agile 1 and Drace.

urban wanderers Urban Wanderers Exhibition: A fundraising exhibition to benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Urban Wanderers consists of works of art created by local, regional and national artists, as well as rescued companion animals. Each artist depicts a Stray Rescue dog or cat in their medium of choice, ranging from photography to painting. Dogs and cats join in the fun too, creating paintings with their paws, tails, and noses. All artwork will be available via an online auction. The reception is free-of-charge and will include music, adult refreshments, light appetizers. Donations are encouraged and appreciated. All proceeds will be used to heal abused, neglected, and abandoned dogs and cats.

rft music showcase RFT Music Showcase: An all-day festival featuring 80+ local acts. This annual celebration of St. Louis’ best and brightest musical talent will take place for the first time in the eclectic Grove neighborhood, along Manchester Avenue between Kingshighway and Vandeventer, inside ten participating venues. A $10 wristband grants access to all participating venues, and a free, all-ages outdoor stage will host music until from 1 to 7pm. New in 2014: A headlining concert has been added this year, featuring RFT Music Award hall-of-famers Pokey LaFarge and So Many Dynamos.

street soccer Street Soccer World Cup: Four-on-four teams will play 14-minute games on an enclosed surface about the size of a tennis court just outside the Amsterdam Tavern. From beginners to experienced players, participants will be helping to raise awareness of the issue of homelessness while assisting members of the St. Louis Roadies in ending their homelessness for good. Come out and enjoy the wonderful music of St. Louis’ own JOAI and the delicious food of Morganford’s latest addition, THE DAM. Team registration is $250.

lafayette square Lafayette Square House & Garden Tour: Celebrates the 250 years of our home town St. Louis. The Square will be buzzing with activity including carriage rides, trolley rides, a Saturday night concert, plein air artists, free snow cones, and costumed historical characters. To top it off, Antiques Around the Fence is back for those of you bargain hunters. The self-guided walking tour will include a dozen Victorian-era homes and gardens open for visitors with detailed information about the early residents of the homes and their place in St. Louis history. Costumed volunteers will be on hand to greet visitors as they stroll through Lafayette Park to enjoy antiques, art, children’s activities, specialty St. Louis birthday drinks and food, vintage base ball games and historic reenactments.

green homes  festival Green Homes Festival: A hands-on, day-long festival of learning, playing, and engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds with an interest in sustainable, healthy lifestyles. Talk with over 70 green product and service exhibitors, learning more about home improvement and healthy homes. The festival features and highlights local foods and spirits, live music and sustainable and handmade shopping at the Green Marketplace. Children and families can enjoy solar car building and races, storytelling, puppet shows, making art from recycled materials and additional hands-on activities in a “Make It and Take It” do-it-yourself area. Admission is free with Garden entry.

brew and que Brew & Que: Belleville’s annual BBQ Challenge and Craft Beer Walk. The Craft Beer Walk is from 12-4pm and costs $15 per ticket for craft beer samples (15 samples per ticket).The barbecue challenge is from 11am-9pm and the public will be able to vote for their favorite vendor. Samples are $1-$2. Enjoy live music throughout the day from DJ Benny, Sully, Old Salt Union, and Scandeleros.

trivia Wildlife Trivia Night: A trivia night to support the Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic, a volunteer organization dedicated to helping injured and orphaned wildlife. The cost is $20/person for a table of up to 8 people. Cost includes beer and soda and attendance prizes. Feel free to bring your own snacks. Round sponsorships are available for $50. The event will also include: 50/50 drawing, silent auction, mulligans, and gift shop items for sale. Cash prizes for 1st & 2nd place. All proceeds go directly to the care of wildlife

strawberry Kimmswick Strawberry Festival: The second largest festival in Kimmswick. If it is made with strawberries, you will find it at this festival. Craft and food vendors line the streets as live entertainers perform at several areas throughout town. There will be a petting zoo, pony rides, and carnival rides for kids, a Jazz festival, Polka band, horse drawn carriage rides, and more.

carondelet Celebrate STL250 in Carondelet Park: Enjoy displays of Carondelet’s rich history including the St. Louis Altenheim, Carondelet Historical Society, and the Sisters of Joseph Carondelet Chapel. The event will include river viewing, refreshments, and attendance prizes. Stay for the Summer Concert in the Park featuring Younger Brothers from 6-8pm.

Doesn’t know how to cook and survives pretty much on macaroni and cheese and pizza, so naturally, loves to eat out at restaurants. However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
