Matthew McConaughey is the greatest actor in the land

Despite starring in such classics as Dazed and Confused, Time To Kill, Failure To Launch, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, Lincoln Lawyer and Ghost Of Girlfriends Past, this was McConaughey’s first Best Actor win. He won for his role in Dallas Buyers Club.

The pair worked together on classics movie like Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, Groundhog Day and Stripes. Murray visited Ramis shortly before his death and the pair reconciled their differences that had kept them from speaking for 21 years.

Ellen Broke Twitter

Host Ellen DeGeneres took a picture with stars such as Amy Adams, Brad Pitt, Bradley Cooper, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, Kevin Spacey, and Lupita Nyong’o and then tweeted it out. It brought Twitter to a brief standstill as it became the most retweeted post ever. Ellen took the below photo with a Samsung product, but was obviously using an iPhone backstage to take pictures and tweet. Samsung spent a ton of money on being the major sponsor of the event. In the Architectural Digest Greenroom just off the stage, an entire wall is taken up by 86 different Saumsung products showing various videos from the event. Liza Minnelli tried really hard to get into this picture.

Taste of St. Louis moving to Chesterfield and people are not happy

The festival will hold its 10th edition in Chestfield rather than downtown St. Louis. The announcement follows the one last week that the Bluesweek festival will also be moving to Chesterfield. The news is not going over well.

One festival that will not be moving out of the city limits is Mardi Gras. That festival started in the Soulard neighborhood in 1980 and has grown in the city’s largest festival.

Apple announces CarPlay Sometime in 2014 you will basically see an iPhone in new models from a whole lot of different car companies. NASA’s #RealGravity tweets NASA tweeted out some pictures last night in support of the Oscar-nominated Gravity.

Bye, bye Bitcoin

Bitcoins, the dominant digital currency, are quite volatile. You can’t depend on the price and you apparently can’t depend on them to not vanish. Mt. Gox was once the leader in bitcoin storage. Basically it was a bank that you put your pieces of code in. Mt. Gox apparently lost all of the bitcoins it was keeping “safe”. That would be 850,000 bitcoins that it lost. In real money the just doesn’t disappear, that translates to $575,560,500 at this exact moment. Surely it will change by the time you finish reading this.

Chef Keith fools the media

This guy isn’t actually a chef.

Be careful when dining along the ocean

Next time you dine at sea level you may want to check to make sure the restaurant has wave-proof glass.

Ryan

Ryan is a weird dude. He doesn't cook, yet owns a plethora of kitchen gadgets. He rationalized buying a SodaStream while unemployed. He counts Step Up 2: The Streets as one of his favorite movies along with Footloose, Rent, Grease and Paul Blart: Mall Cop. He loves Mizzou but only wants them in the SEC so he can tailgate in Nashville. He owns a ShakeWeight and AbLounger, but still loves him some John Donut and Billie's Fine Foods. You can get more of Ryan at iLoveSoulard.com or just check the stool on the far end of the bar at iTap in Soulard.
