Best Places to Watch the Super Bowl in St. Louis

Super Bowl Sunday, a fun day for all. Some love it for the commercials (Full House reunion?), some for the food (see Super Bowl  Worthy Snacks) and some for the half-time show…Bruno Mars! Woo Hoo!…and Red Hot Chili Peppers. But more importantly Bruno.

Did I miss anything?…Oh of course, and some love it for the football.

Regardless of why you love to watch it, the most important thing is having a great place to watch it. A lot of people like to throw a party at their home, have friends over and watch it on the big screen. However, for those who don’t have a big enough space to host a party, a big tv, or…friends (just kidding), but seriously, here are some great places to watch this year, enjoy!

Big Game Bash at Black Finn by the St. Louis Galleria: $35 gets you all you can eat and drink, including domestic bottles, well drinks, and a buffet featuring build your own nachos, cheeseburgers and chicken sliders, pretzels and cheese, hot dogs on pretzel buns, veggie trays, chips and queso, and more. They have 35 flat screens and projectors plus there will be games, prizes, and giveaways.

The Post Sports Bar and Grill in Maplewood: $20 wings and bucket specials all day and $3.50 22oz domestic drafts. They have TVs all over the place and plenty of seating. They will also be giving away a trip to Vegas after the 3rd quarter and big money wins on Super Bowl Squares.

Flannery’s Pub Big Game Package: $40 gets you unlimited draft beers, domestic bottles, and well drinks from 5-11pm. There is also a appetizer buffet included in the $40, along with other great food specials. Raffles and giveaways during the game as well. Call the restaurant 314-241-8885 to reserve your tickets (1320 Washington Ave).

Bar 101 in Soulard: $20 all you can eat chili dogs and nachos and all you can drink drafts and rails. They have big screens and projectors all over the place.

Super Game Package at Big Daddy’s (Soulard): From kick-off until the end of the 4th quarter, $25 all you can drink Bud, Bud Light, Bud Select Bottles, PBR & Stag 16 oz Can, Shock Top, Natty Light, & Sam Adams Seasonal drafts, well & call drinks. They’ll throw in a sandwich or appetizer for $30. Purchase your ticket in advance online.

Super Bowl 48 at MX Movies: MX Movies will be showing the Super Bowl absolutely free in their bar/lounge area on a huge 12 ft screen. They will have $4 and $8 food and appetizers with $3 bar drinks!

Stacked Burger Bar:  A renovated burger bar in South City. They are having a super bowl party with $20 all you can drink wells and domestic drafts during the game along with a half-time buffet. There are plenty of TVs, a projector, and they have pool tables. Their menu also includes create your own burgers, fried pickles, nachos, chili, and pretzels with cheese – all of the perfect game foods.

Ice Bowl at The Ice House in Wentzville: Fish & DC will be broadcasting live from 4-6pm and ladies drink free during their broadcast. There will also be free food, cornhole tournaments, and Helping Hands of St. Charles will be holding a raffle to win a 60″ TV, donated by Extreme Pawn in St. Peters.

Just John in The Grove: They are hosting a Super Bowl party starting at 5pm and will have $3 Bud Light and Bud Select bottles, $4 Jager shots, attendance prizes, and free food at half-time. They have 16 TVs and 2 big screens and plenty of seating.

The Wheelhouse in Clayton: The RFT’s Best Sports Bar for 2013. They offer great Sunday Funday specials: $6 Kraftig pitchers, $8 microbrew and Bud Light pitchers, and $10 import pitchers and domestic buckets. They have 36 HDTVs and a great game menu including roasted bar nuts, soft pretzels, Italian sausage, Philly cheese-steak sandwiches, and more.

Over/Under on Wash Ave downtown: They have 37 HDTVs and great food. My favorite dish is the mac & cheese. You can get it with crab and/or bacon. It’s so delicious! It’s also a great sports bar to relax and enjoy the game.

Stadium Sports Bar and Grill in Lumiere Place Casino: It’s huge and has over 50 high-def TVs and a huge drink selection including over 100 bottled beer choices, not to mention amazing food, including the Bacon and Onion Tater Tots…Mmmm. They’ll be open starting at 11am on Sunday.

Rich’s Place in St. Charles: Opens at 1pm. Bring your favorite Super Bowl snack. There will be drinks, food and fun for all.

For those who need to get up to speed before Sunday rolls around, here’s a quick update: The Super Bowl is Sunday, February 2nd between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks featuring “the best corner in the game” adding a little bit of extra drama to this year’s bowl. Kick off is at 6:30E/5:30C. Renée Fleming will sing the National Anthem and Bruno Mars will perform for the half-time show, joined by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Best. Half-time Show. Ever. Oh, and there’s Puppy Bowl X on at 2pm on Animal Planet, which is a pretty big deal. You can even make your own Fantasy Puppy Bowl Team.

If you know of any other places that are having a Super Bowl party and/or offering great drink specials on Sunday, let me know!

Doesn’t know how to cook and survives pretty much on macaroni and cheese and pizza, so naturally, loves to eat out at restaurants. However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.

Big Daddy’s is pimping a package at Soulard location.

Also, nothing will beat this halftime show in 2006.
