Super Bowl Sunday, a fun day for all. Some love it for the commercials (Full House reunion?), some for the food (see Super Bowl Worthy Snacks) and some for the half-time show…Bruno Mars! Woo Hoo!…and Red Hot Chili Peppers. But more importantly Bruno.
Did I miss anything?…Oh of course, and some love it for the football.
Regardless of why you love to watch it, the most important thing is having a great place to watch it. A lot of people like to throw a party at their home, have friends over and watch it on the big screen. However, for those who don’t have a big enough space to host a party, a big tv, or…friends (just kidding), but seriously, here are some great places to watch this year, enjoy!

Ice Bowl at The Ice House in Wentzville: Fish & DC will be broadcasting live from 4-6pm and ladies drink free during their broadcast. There will also be free food, cornhole tournaments, and Helping Hands of St. Charles will be holding a raffle to win a 60″ TV, donated by Extreme Pawn in St. Peters.
Just John in The Grove: They are hosting a Super Bowl party starting at 5pm and will have $3 Bud Light and Bud Select bottles, $4 Jager shots, attendance prizes, and free food at half-time. They have 16 TVs and 2 big screens and plenty of seating.
The Wheelhouse in Clayton: The RFT’s Best Sports Bar for 2013. They have 36 HDTVs and a great game menu including roasted bar nuts, soft pretzels, Italian sausage, Philly cheese-steak sandwiches, and more.
Over/Under on Wash Ave downtown: They have 37 HDTVs and great food. My favorite dish is the mac & cheese. You can get it with crab and/or bacon. It’s so delicious! It’s also a great sports bar to relax and enjoy the game.
Stadium Sports Bar and Grill in Lumiere Place Casino: It’s huge and has over 50 high-def TVs and a huge drink selection including over 100 bottled beer choices, not to mention amazing food, including the Bacon and Onion Tater Tots…Mmmm. They’ll be open starting at 11am on Sunday.
Rich’s Place in St. Charles: Opens at 1pm. Bring your favorite Super Bowl snack. There will be drinks, food and fun for all.
For those who need to get up to speed before Sunday rolls around, here’s a quick update: The Super Bowl is Sunday, February 2nd between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks featuring “the best corner in the game” adding a little bit of extra drama to this year’s bowl. Kick off is at 6:30E/5:30C. Renée Fleming will sing the National Anthem and Bruno Mars will perform for the half-time show, joined by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Best. Half-time Show. Ever. Oh, and there’s Puppy Bowl X on at 2pm on Animal Planet, which is a pretty big deal. You can even make your own Fantasy Puppy Bowl Team.
If you know of any other places that are having a Super Bowl party and/or offering great drink specials on Sunday, let me know!
