santajam Santa Jam: An intimate acoustic evening featuring Jerrod Niemann with David Nail benefiting Youth In Need. Hang out with Santa Bull and help kick off the annual The Bull toy drive, Boatload of Toys. GA tickets are $10. Donate a toy to help more kids have a Christmas.

handmade holiday party The Handmade Holiday Party: Join Alive Magazine as they celebrate their readers, clients, friends and family. The event will feature 25 independent purveyors of handmade, locally sourced, and ethically imported goods. Enjoy Pinnacle Vodka cocktails, complimentary Bud Select, a bourbon tasting boasting Makers Mark, Jim Beam Black and select fine whiskeys, and a bacon bar that can’t be missed. DJ TrashTalk and a special guest will provide entertainment all night long, and a free photo booth will be available for guests. Cost is $10.

monster party Mad Monster Costume Party: Features stop-motion puppet versions of all the great monsters, with the late, great Boris Karloff voicing Baron von Frankenstein, while Phyllis Diller puts words in the mouth of the Bride Of Frankenstein. Dress as your favorite monster. Best costume will be rewarded with a copy of the film. They will also be auctioning off a beautifully framed All-World Monster Map. Suggested ticket price is $6. Delicious food & drink available for purchase from Schlafly. This proceeds from this event will help support Helping Kids Together, a social awareness and cultural diversity project.

maplewood christmas tree walk 12th Annual Christmas Tree Walk: The annual festival begins at 6pm in Citizens National Bank Park with caroling, the grand lighting of the tree and Santa Claus’ arrival. From 6:30-9pm, enjoy free carriage rides and hot chocolate as you stroll through historic Maplewood which will be brimming with holiday cheer. Visit local retailers and take advantage of holiday shopping specials.

garden glow Around The World Wine Dinner: The traditional December wine dinner, featuring a “Great Expectations” theme, enjoy English-inspired holiday fare and wines from around the world. The event will be held in the Spink Pavilion. Advanced reservations are required. Enjoy a delicious dinner, then check out the beautiful lights of the Garden Glow.

cherokee print league Cherokee Print League Holiday Sale: 6th annual sale dedicated to the art scene on Cherokee Street. As one of the largest print sales in the Midwest, the event will showcase local and regional artists whose work includes printmaking, letterpress, screen printing, and printed fabrics, as well as the ever-evolving creative energy that defines Cherokee Street.  Art demonstrations, customized printing, on-site framing, and food trucks will also be featured. The Friday Night Preview Party will be held at Bank Projects at 3420 Iowa from 7 to 10pm on Friday.  Hosted by the Cherokee Print League and sponsored by Schlafly, the Preview Party will showcase selected works by artists selling the next day. Music by DJ Makossa and beer by Schlafly.

window walk CWE Window Walk Festival: The annual kick-off festival in the Central West End. A day long party featuring live entertainment, music, sips, bites, specials and shopping discounts. Enjoy time with friends and family away from the hustle and bustle of the malls, while strolling among the most beautifully decorated holiday windows in the city. Vote on your favorite window to be entered to win a $50 gift certificate. Stay for the Crab Claw Festival at Scape from 5-9pm.

St. Louis Santa Crawl 2012 St. Louis Santa Crawl: The 8th annual Santa Crawl will be hitting the streets decked out in their best Santa, elf, reindeer, and other holiday fashion. Tickets are $25 to join the bus. If you don’t want to join the bus but still want to participate, put on your Santa gear and head out to Soulard. You’re bound to find them around Llywelyn’s at some point.

holiday bazaar Queeny Recreation Complex Holiday Bazaar: Check out the holiday bazaar for unique, handmade, and specialty gifts for everyone on your list. Bring the kids and let them skate in the ice rink for just $4 while you shop. Admission into the park is free.

florissant Christmas in Old Town Florissant: Visit with Santa Claus at city hall at 2:15. Get your photo with him for additional charge. Then join the festivities with craft making, cookie decorating, balloon sculptures, face painting, Christmas storytelling, Christmas music, and cookies and cocoa. Visit the shops of Rue St. Francois and then head outside at 5pm as Mayor Schneider flips the switch to light up Florissant’s Christmas Tree.

franklin_triva Franklin’s Trivia Night: Join a fun night of trivia in Soulard. Franklin’s is hosting trivia night on Sunday. The trivia theme is Famous Villains. Dress up and/or decorate your table. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed and best table. The event will include a food buffet, drink specials, and Dollar-A-Chance Baskets. Cost is $20 per person (tables of 8).
