Weekend events in St. Louis starting Thursday, October 24th through Sunday, October 27th.

Whiskers__Wine_Event_for_HHS Whiskers and Wine: A benefit at Rendezvous Cafe to help support the Heartland Humane Society. The event will feature live music from Wade Trent. Enjoy a nice evening of wine tasting and light appetizers among other wine and pet enthusiasts. There will also be a live auction and 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $25.

compass improv Compass Improv Festival: Four nights of comedy from improv groups from Kentucky, Minnesota, Florida, Oklahoma, Springfield, and Chicago. Show hometown love to St. Louis’ own Improv Shop, Troupe Therapy, Magic Ratio, Schrodinger’s Cast, the Meowsers, and more. Check out the screening of the documentary David Shepherd: A Lifetime of Improvisational Theatre with special guest (and original Compass Player) David Shepherd. Tickets range between $8 and $15. creepy crawl South Grand Creepy Crawl: South Grand bars hold their annual bottomless cup Pub Crawl starting at 9pm. The cost is $25 to get you 6 specialty drink tickets, live music and food discounts at the Sekisui, Tree House, Absolutli Goosed, Cafe Natasha, Mangia Italiano, and City Diner on Grand. Each bar will have it’s own theme such as: ‘Night of the Living Dead’ theme at Mangia, and Oz at Cafe Natasha’s. Pre-ticket sales pick-up and day of sales pick-up at Bali Cargo Company (3203 South Grand Blvd) from 8-10:30pm. Buy tickets online in advance here.

three sixty Haunted Rooftop at Three Sixty: Three Sixty Rooftop bar on Broadway in downtown is holding their 2nd annual Halloween party. There will be a costume contest to win a $500 cash prize. In addition, there will be themed-drinks, unbelievable prizes, tarot card readers, mediums and psychics. There is a $10 cover charge.

cam halloween Halloween Family Day: Families are invited to celebrate Halloween and explore the world of contemporary art together. Tour the current exhibitions and spend the afternoon enjoying a wide range of exciting artist-led workshops, face painting, storytelling, music and dance performances, and more. Visitors who come in costume will be entered in a drawing to win a special prize. This is a free event.

fresh hop Fresh Hop Beer Fest: To celebrate the fall hop harvest each year, Schlafly flies in fresh hops from Washington State and then invites other local breweries to brew a unique style for the Festival. The event will include fabulous breweries: Alpha Brewing Co, Carbondale Craft Beer, Crown Valley, Exit 6, Ferguson, Kirkwood Station, Six Row, Square One, Urban Chestnut, and of course, Schlafly. Enjoy live music from Colonel Ford. Reserve your tickets in advance online for $26, at Schlafly for $25, or day of for $30.

Tricks-and-Treats Tricks and Treats on Park: The 4th annual children and pet Halloween party hosted by Four Muddy Paws.  The event will include fun activities such as: the pet and children’s costume contests & parade at 12:30pm, Halloween Games and Prizes for pets and kids, and trick or treating at participating local Lafayette Square businesses, plus delicious treats for your four-legged friends.

hayride Singles Hayride: Mingle with old friends and new in Creve Coeur Park. Enjoy a bonfire, music by George Portz and the Friends of Bluegrass, and a marshmallow roast & hot chocolate. Then jump on the wagon for a singles hayride through Creve Coeur Park at 8pm. The cost is $10 per person. 21+

pets St. Louis Pet Expo: This is a huge event (and free!). There will be over 150 exhibitors (that means TONS of free goodies for your pet), prize giveaways, discounted vaccinations, free nail trims and great entertainment. Shorty Rossi, the star of Pit Boss on Animal Planet will be available for autographs and photos all day. Then look for pet CPR demonstrations, a pet talent show, and pet costume contest. Additionally there will be an activity course with agility demos by All Critter Care, a Drug Sniffing Dogs Demo, easy trick teaching methods demo, pet/owner musical chairs, a mega-adoption event, Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Show, prizes, and more.

kimmswick Apple Butter Festival: The annual music and craft festival in Historic Kimmswick. There will be over 500 vendors selling crafts and delicious food and beverages. Enjoy live entertainment, Bluegrass and Dulcimer music. The Kimmswick Historical Society will be selling their famous Apple Butter fresh on Market Street. For the children, there is a miniature train, petting zoo and pony rides that will delight kids at any age.

rock-n-roll marathon Rock n Roll Marathon and Health Expo: The third annual Quinn Family Foundation Rock ‘n Roll St. Louis Marathon and ½ Marathon is this weekend.. The run benefits Team Activities for Special Kids, and will wrap up with a concert featuring Atlas Genius. There will be live bands, local cheerleaders, and thousands of spectators energizing the runners and cheering them on to the finish line. In addition to the race, there is a health and fitness expo, which will feature over 60 exhibitors offering free samples, showcasing the latest in running gear, sports apparel, health & nutritional information and much more. The expo is free and open to the public.
