Weekend events in St. Louis starting Thursday, October 10th through Sunday, October 13th.

2nd thursdays 2nd Thursdays at The Foundry: The last one of the year, this event hosted with St. Charles Riverfront Arts, features a variety of food trucks, a full-cart bar, and fun with art. During the event you can draw with artists, paint with painters, create with potters, make jewelry with jewelers, write with writers, act with actors, and dance with dancers, all while listening to live music. The event is free to attend.

Place: The Foundry Art Centre – 520 N Main Center

polkanauts band Soulard Oktoberfest: Just one more reason to love fall in St. Louis. Over 40,000 people are expected to attend the 10th annual festival this year. Similar to Mardi Gras, people come from all over to partake. 3 days, 3 stages, non-stop German entertainment. A fan favorite, the Polkanauts, with their giant skeleton looking guy will play all 3 days, in addition to other great bands. Delicious German cuisine: Bratwurst, turkey legs, Schweinshaxe, Strudel, Potato Pancakes, and more. And finally the beer. General admission is $10. If you wear traditional Oktoberfest attire, admission is free. Then grab a souvenir mug and get to drinking.

fallfest Fall Fest and Street Dance: 2 days of entertainment from great bands: Trixie Delight on Friday and Acoustik Element featuring Aaron Burlba, Johnny & Ethan from Well Hungarians, and the Lodge Brothers on Saturday. In addition to musical entertainment, there will be family entertainment, bike stunt shows, magicians, museum tours and more. The festival is free. You can purchase food and beverages, and shop for house and garden specialties, jewelry, clothing and accessories, fall and holiday decorations, original art, and trendy crafts. Join the O’Fallon Fall Fest 5K at 7:30am on Saturday morning. Register now for $18 or $20 day of.

faust park History Hayride at Faust Park: Faust Park is offering hayride and historic home tours for one weekend only. Jump on the wagon and tour Faust Park after dark. Then listen to storytellers as you wander through 19th Century historic homes lit up by candlelight. Then warm up by a bonfire with refreshments and live music. Admission is $10. Tours are 6-7pm, 7-8pm, and 8-9pm. Advance registration is required.

richmond heights Grand Centennial Festival: Enjoy carnival rides, food, vendors, Yoga, and live music on Friday evening. Then come back for the Community Spirit 5K Run/Walk from 8-11am, followed by the Centennial Parade at 11am on Saturday. Stay for the Dog Great Pumpkin Hunt and Costume Contest at 2pm, the Chalk Art Competition from 12-5pm, plus great live music, food, rides and fun.

great pumpkin run The Great Pumpkin Run: The perfect Fall running experience. Run along dirt paths, then through a corn maze. Enjoy apple cider at the finish, followed by a festival on a farm. Registration closes at the end of Oct 7th. It’s $45 for the 5k or $55 for the 10k loop. Registration includes entry to the race, chip timing, amazing t-shirt, glass of crisp apple cider or fall craft beer, small pumpkin, and the post-race Fall Festival! Not looking to run? Come out and watch and enjoy the Fall Festival at Brookdale Farms: $9 per adult and $6 for children 4-11.

wash ave fall fest Washington Ave Street Fair & Fall Fest: A festival in downtown St. Louis. Join the restaurants, bars, retail stores and other local business for a day of food, beer gardens, live music and fun kids activities. There’s a great line-up of musical entertainers including: Leslie Craig, Trixie Delight, Superjam, Vote for Pedro, Laserjam, and more. It will be a day of positive energy where friends, families, and children can enjoy building lasting relationships in the downtown St. Louis community.

classic car fest Classic Car Fest: Dozens of vintage automobiles, trucks, motorcycles and other vehicles will be on display. All proceeds from the day-long, family-oriented event will benefit the Maggie Welby Foundation.  A total of 30 proposed classes of vehicles will be represented, including stock and modified versions of cars, trucks, street rods, pro-streets and T-buckets, motorcycles, muscle cars, daily drivers, Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaros, imports and special interest vehicles. The Classic Car Fest is free. There will be delicious food from 2 Girls 4 Wheels, StLouisianaQ, and Stely Belly Food Trucks, plus Texas Roadhouse, and live music from The EPC Band and The Customers.

city kitty City Kitties: A celebration for National Feral Cat Day. Learn how to help care for the city cats, from feeding stations to shelters. Cats will be available for adoption. The event will also include raffles giveaways and live music Cherokee Street style. Come out and hear Sarah Jane and the Blue Notes. Check out the local shops, which will be featuring kitty items. Bring your cat and enjoy the festivities. Bring a pet food donation and receive a free raffle ticket.

art on the town Art on the Town: An annual gathering of St. Louis artists, performers and musicians in the heart of downtown Webster Groves. The festivities will include over 40 artists and 50+ performers. Stroll through charming local shops and galleries, and enjoy performances from: The Big Muddy Dance Company, Arts in Motion School of Dance & Motion, Caston Ballet, and finally The Reserve  featuring Javier Mendoza at 5pm. An art fair for all ages with activities including: Calligraphy and lotus flower drawings with Falun Daf, Spin Art with The Repertory Theatre, Face Painting, Magic show, Pottery demonstrations, Chalk masterpieces, Duct Tape Creations, Pilates, and more.

chicken and beer 57th Annual Chicken and Beer Dance: Admission is $20 and includes all you can eat chicken, all you can drink beer, and hopefully plenty of cute firemen to dance with. Live music from the Well Hungarians starts at 8pm. The event benefits the Belleville Fire Fighter’s Association Local 53’s Relief and Welfare Fund, which helps provide resources to community programs such as the Southern Illinois Burn Camp for Children, youth athletic teams, and more.

otters Ottertoberfest: To celebrate the cute and fun North American river otters, the zoo hosts Ottertoberfest every fall. This is the last weekend for 2013. The event features traditional German biergartens where visitors can purchase beer, bratwurst, and other German specialties. The event will also include live music and kids’ activities such as: the River Ranger game, an “Otter Says” game, and a River Clean-Up activity. In addition, you can join Otter Keeper Chats in the Children’s Zoo and Historic Hill.

halloween logo Go! St. Louis Halloween Race: Run, walk, or come out for the festivities. Serious runners can join the 5K starting at 7am or the 10K & Half Marathon starting at 7:30am. Those who want to run for fun can participate in the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk at 10am and the costume contest at 10:30am. In addition to fun Halloween spooks during the run, race registration includes a short sleeve Nike Dri-Fit tech shirt (half, 10K & 5K only), finisher medal and lots of post-race treats. Check the website for registration  fees.

Place: Downtown – Soldier’s Memorial

parade St. Louis Columbus Day Parade & Festival: The annual parade and festival on The Hill features delicious food from local Italian restaurants, live music from Dr. Zhivegas and That’s Amore DJ, the Meatball Eating Contest sponsored by Joe Boccardi’s, the Miss Italian St. Louis Pageant, and children’s games and prizes. Join the Philly 5K at 9am benefiting The Philly Fund, which gives scholarships to low income families with children who have ADD/ADHD. Registration is $25 or $30 day of. The parade starts at 12pm, followed by the festival which goes until 6pm.

FallFestival2003 Florissant Fall Festival: Each block of rue St. Francois from St. Ferdinand Shrine to Florissant Road is filled with activities ranging from a dog show, musicians, games for children, craft show, flea market, food booths, sidewalk chalk art, pony rides, wagon rides, art activities, and much more.
