Your STL Weekend Event Guide for Thursday, September 12th through Sunday, September 15th.

STL Night of Style: A free night of fashion. Runway shows with fall trends from Nordstrom, Ann Taylor, Caché, Francesca’s, Guess, H&M, The Limited, and White House | Black Market.  The event will also offer complimentary Bud Select, music by DJ Andrew, and fabulous food and desserts.  Plus, you can enter to win a $1,000 Nordstrom gift card. Afterwards,  head over to J. Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steaks and Seafood for complimentary cocktail samples, happy hour specials, and live entertainment.

3rd Annual Wine for Whiskers: An event to benefit the Belleville Area Human Society. The event will include a photo booth, buffet and two drinks, silent auction, and a raffle for four box seats to the Cards vs Cubs game on September 29th, the last home game of the season. Tickets are$30 in advance or $35 at the door.

Weed Dating Event: A play on speed dating, Earth Dance Farms has created an event for the agriculture lovers. No farming experience necessary but be open to having fun and getting in the dirt. Each person will be identified by a colored tag to distinguish their status. You’ll be paired in a quick one-on-one weeding session with a potential romantic interest and move from one row to the next, meeting someone new every 5-10 minutes. This event is free, but pre-registration is required.  Hey, if anything, you can at least be sure they’ll have plenty of snacks available. 😉

Greentree Festival: Annual community festival in Kirkwood Park. Tons of activities: wine garden, kids dog show and frisbee contest, arts and crafts booths, car and sailboat show, and live musical entertainment courtesy of Motown Revue and the Missouri Fiddlers. The Wild Wild West themed parade kicks off at 10am on Saturday (corner of Geyer & Adams). Check the website for list of activities.

Food Truck Friday: Where food trucks and food truck lovers meet. In addition to food trucks, the Schlafy beer truck will be on hand to serve up some adult beverages. You can also bring your own beverages and enjoy an evening hanging out in the park with friends. Make sure to bring a lawn chair and bug spray. Artisans Craft Beer Festival: The St. Charles Family Arena’s 2nd Annual craft beer festival has arrived. Tickets are $30 and include: souvenir tasting glass and the freedom to enjoy 2 oz. samples from over 30 local breweries. There will be food available for purchase, plus special demonstrations and entertaining programs.

St. Louis Indian Music Festival: 3rd annual St. Louis Indian Music festival presents the true gems of Indian civilization; its music. Enjoy the soothing sounds from master artists from India and the US. Check the website for the schedule of music. This is a free event.

15th Annual Hop in the City: Try over 40 beer styles. Enjoy great food, live music, and unlimited beer samples at the biggest Schlafly party of the year. Tickets are $30 and include commemorative tasting glass, beer tasting and live music courtesy of: Beth Bombara and The Twains. Food will be available for purchase. APA’s 90th Birthday Bash: The APA is celebrating its 90th anniversary with the help of The Harry & Hanley Project, a public art project featuring 20 unique larger-than-life dog and cat sculptures created by renowned sculptor Harry Weber and custom-designed by some of St. Louis’ leading local artists In addition to an auction for these one-of-a-kind sculptures, the party will also include decadent food stations, premium open bar, and music by DJ Greasy. Party with a purpose. Business casual attire. Tickets are $90.

The Color Run: Also known as the Happiest 5K on Earth, this is a run for fun, as opposed to time. Come dressed in white and leave purpleypinkbluishyhgreenyellow. It benefits Food Outreach, a volunteer-based organization focused on providing nutritious meals and nutrition counseling to men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS or cancer.

Pedal For Pooches: A bicycle poker run through the streets of Belleville to benefit the Belleville Dog Park. The poker run kicks off at 10am at Seven Belleville and stops at Big Daddy’s, Pitchers, Sullivans, MoJacs, Fridays, and Vespers. The event ends back at Seven finishing with a block party from 5-8pm with free food & drink specials and live entertainment from Belleville’s own Old Salt Union. It’s $25 to participate, which includes: custom designed shirt, food, and live music. Winner will receive a Smoking Loon Beach Cruiser Bicycle.

19th Annual MOSAICS Missouri Festival for the Arts: A free Arts Festival with activities for everyone including fantastic art, great entertainment and the opportunity for children to create their own artwork. 103 juried artists from across the state, region and country will exhibit, discuss, and sell artwork: paintings, sculptures, photography, glass, jewelry, metal and woodworking are just a few. A Performance Stage will showcase a variety of performing artists. A Children’s Village will provide hands-an art experiences for children of all ages.
