lydia vaughan Lydia Vaughan and the Monoc sisters: Check out local singer/songwriters perform at The Merge in St. Peters. Lydia Vaughan, a pop singer, has released several singles over the past year and has recently started performing live around St. Louis. Katie and Lindsey Monoc are a folk/pop/country duo who will be opening for Lydia. Tickets are $10.

third degree glass factory Third Friday Free Party: Enjoy glassblowing and bead making demonstrations, great food from chef Heidi, live music from Union Avenue Opera at 6:30pm, then Rosewood Band at 8pm. Try your hand at making glass art, check out new exhibits, and shop for glass art created by Third Degree glass artists. Enjoy the drink of the night: Watermelon Martini. If you buy a beverage, you get a free Lucky Art Lotto ticket, which could win you selected glass art. At sundown, the Fire Technicians Performance Troupe will perform.

billikens SLU Billikens Women’s Soccer Exhibition: The Billiken’s kick off their women’s soccer season this Tuesday, August 13th against SEMO. While you may not want to make the drive out to Cape Girardeau, they will be back to play their first home exhibition game against Arkansas State this Friday. head out to Hermann Stadium to check them out.

moonlight ramble 50th Annual Moonlight Ramble: The “World’s Original Nighttime Bike Ride.” Attracting thousands of riders each year, the event includes a leisurely bike ride through the streets of St. Louis at midnight, a vendor area, entertainment, a commemorative glow in the dark event shirt, and an after-ride party with snacks and drinks. This year’s ride benefits HI-USA and Kingdom House.

soulard stl Soulard Free Summer Concerts: This weekend, join the other islanders to hang out in Soulard Market Park for a free concert. This Saturday is Patti & the Hitmen. Grab a lawn chair and some food from one of the local restaurants: Epic Pizza, Sassy Jac’s, Bogart’s, etc and get ready for a great night of free music.

heart Let Freedom Rock Fest: Aka The Heartbreaker Tour comes to St. Louis this weekend with Heart and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience. Tickets start at $19 for lawn seats.

logo-tour-de-wellness Tour de Wellness: The annual St. Luke’s Hospital Tour de Wellness Bicycle Ride.  Take a 15, 40, or 60 scenic mile ride through Chesterfield and West St. Louis County. Cost is $35 to join the race, which includes a t-shirt, food and drink, bike tech and SAG assistance. After the ride, enjoy live music, food & drink, health resources, and massage therapy.

top chef burger challenge Top Chef: The Ultimate Burger Challenge: You will be amazed at the flavors these 6 local chefs can fit between two buns as they compete for the title of Top Chef in this burger challenge. Chefs are Zach Rice of Three Monkeys, Bob Waters of Blueberry Hill, Mike Johnson of Sugarfire Smokehouse, Eric Brenner of Alumni Saint Louis, Ian Craig of Sub Zero Vodka Bar and Matt Galati of The Dam. Attendees can sample each one in mini form. Tickets are $25 on-line, $30 at the door.
