Your St. Louis weekend event update from Thursday, July 25th through Sunday, July 28th:

st. charles county fair St. Charles County Fair: Something for everyone. Tractor pulls, demolition derbies, iron man-style obstacle courses, rappelling wall, Butterfly house, karaoke, swine, steer, poultry and rabbit judging, petting zoo, car show, pageant show, BMX Stunt show, live music, fun children’s activities and my favorites: carnival rides, Midwest Cowboy Rodeo and of course, the food. The Lion’s Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Knights of Columbus and more will be serving up the best fair foods, from corn dogs and pulled pork to funnel cakes, snow cones, root beer floats and more.

Time: Tues-Thurs: 8am-11pm, Fri & Sat: 8am-12am

thirsty thursday Thirsty Thursday Pop-Up Craft Market: It’s crafts and beer and music. What else is there to know? Enjoy live music courtesy of Letter To Memphis, crafts from South City Studio, Just Liv, Sprouted Deisgns, The Foundrie, DownZipper, Indian Sunshine and more, and beer from Urban Chestnut. A great way to spend a casual Thursday evening out of the house.

roman holiday Outdoor Film Series Finale: The final July outdoor film series event is this Friday. The film: Roman Holiday. A black and white film starring Audrey Hepburn; it’s the story of a sheltered princess who escapes her guardians and falls in love with an American newsman in Rome. In addition to the film, the event will include live music courtesy of La’Tinos Latin Tropical Band, plus food from local food trucks. Bring your lawn chair and bug spray and enjoy the last film in the July Summer of Love series.

Time: 7pm for pre-show festivities. Show starts at 9pm

Place: Art Hill, Forest Park

westport plaza Friday Night Lights Street Party: An outdoor party in Westport Plaza. Live entertainment by DJ Greasy, professional dancer from So You Think You Can Dance, Nicholas Gates and Z107.7’s Curt Copeland. Enjoy drink specials from local restaurants and non-stop entertainment.

the dubliner comedy night Comedy Night at The Dubliner: A night of great comedy in the Leinster Room. Rob Durham, a 10 year comedy vet who has been approved by famous comedians such as Rob Schneider, Bob Saget, Bob Costas and more. Dan Chopin, emcee and local comedian who earned a regular spot at the world famous improv comedy club in Hollywood and is known for performing song parodies. Chris Speyrer, owner of Mason City Limits, a comedy club in Mason City, IL has appeared on The Comedy Channel’s Access America and  The Bob & Tom Show. He’s worked with big names including: Dave Chappelle, Ron White, Elaine Boosler and more. Tickets are $10. No drink minimum.

World-Naked-Bike-Ride 6th Annual World Naked Bike Ride: The famous, one night a year only, must attend event is happening this weekend. An event to promote safety for bike riders and pedestrians, the event features a pre-ride rally with tons of fun activities. Get your body painted or your bike decorated. Listen to live music courtesy of Unifyah and Mathias & The Pirates. Get your picture taken in the photo booth and enjoy some pre-ride Happy Hour drinks before heading out at 8pm. Then finish it off with a post-ride celebration in The Grove with live music and fun games and contests.

Place: Kick-off – South Grand Parking Lot – 3600 Hartford

neighborfood Neighborfood: A food tasting event through The Loop. You get to choose what food you want to eat and what charity you want your proceeds to benefit. 8 Delmar restaurants will be serving what they consider to be their best dish: Blueberry Hill, Fitz’s, Mission Taco Joint, Nico, Pi, Ranoush, Soeul Taco and Three Kings Public House. You pay $10 for a ticket and it goes towards one of the seven non-profits of your choosing: Animal House, Gateway Greening, Habitat for Humanity, Green Center, Urban Harvest, Prison Performing Arts and MO Coalition for the Environment. Tickets include admission, one food or drink ticket, and 5 raffle tickets for gift certificates from our restaurants. Any additional tastings you want are $5.

Place: Three Kings Public House – 6307 Delmar

midwest beer fest Midwest Belgian Beer Festival: One of the festivals celebrating St. Louis Craft Beer Week. Tickets are $50 online or $45 in person and include food from Farmhaus and Strange Donuts plus a sampling of Midwestern cheeses and a commemorative tasting glass…to taste craft beer of course! Beer, beer and more beer from local breweries such as: Upland, Boulevard, Morgan Street, 2nd Shift, Schlafly, Ozark, Ferguson, Charleville and a lot more! And finally, you can help design your own Midwest Belgian Fest T-shirt printed on site by Art Farm to purchase before you go home. This event is part of the 8 day Craft Beer Festival that starts this Saturday.

Place: Perennial Artisan Ales – 8125 Michigan Ave

cardboard boat race 4th Annual Hope Floats Cardboard Boat Race: A fun event hosted by Wings of Hope, a project which helps deliver humanitarian programs to the impoverished. Build a boat out of cardboard and race it through the Forest park Grand Basin. All proceeds from this event benefit the St. Louis based Medical Relief and Air Transport (MAT) Program, which transports children with debilitating diseases or birth defects to receive the appropriate healthcare. If you don’t want to build a boat, grab a lawn chair and come out to watch the fun.

Place: Forest Park Grand Basin

the wedding show The Wedding Show: If you’re recently engaged, this is the perfect show for you. It has all of the tools you need to begin your wedding planning. You will meet a variety of vendors from flowers to music to cakes and catering to make-up and dresses to transportation. There will be over 200 wedding exhibits. The event will include a New York style professional runway show featuring bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, tuxedos and even honeymoon swimwear ideas. Vendors will be offering great discounts plus plenty of prize giveaways. Grab a girlfriend and get ready to plan!
