St. Louis Cardinals schedule

Baseball fans get ready! Opening Day in St. Louis is just around the corner. The St. Louis Cardinals take on the Cincinnati Reds at 3:15pm on Monday, April 8th, 2013. Those attending the game will receive a magnet schedule to keep up with all the games. This will be a bittersweet Opening Day without Stan Musial around, but the game must go on. I am sure he will be with the Cardinals in spirit as the Harmonica Club of St. Louis (Stan was an honorary member) plays the national anthem. And if you are attending the Friday game, they are giving out Stan Musial harmonicas.

There is a full day of activities planned downtown to kick-off baseball season. The pep rally starts at 9:00am at Kiener Plaza located at 7th & Chestnut with food, drinks, giveaways and live music from My Friend Mike. There will also be pre-game parties at J Bucks, Busch Stadium and the Tums Lot on Broadway. There will be a sea of red as far as you can see, so make sure to pull out your Summer Cardinals gear because it looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day. If you can’t make it to the game, don’t worry; I’m sure you can find a bar or 20 downtown to pull up a seat and enjoy the game. cardinals2

I have been told that Cardinals Opening Day should be a holiday in St. Louis, and I have to say that I agree. St. Louis has the best and most devoted fans I have ever seen. And if you’re a die hard fan and have an iPhone, you can now add the 2013 schedule to your iPhone calendar. Pretty cool!
