This weekend in St. Louis:


strange beers festival Strange Beers: A craft donut and beer tasting. Strange Donuts, a start-up that is currently in it’s Kickstarter phase to soon become an independent donut shop in downtown Maplewood, is teaming up with Perennial Artisan Ales to create a fun and unique festival. Strange Donuts will create featured donuts, each to be thoughtfully paired with a perennial beer such as 17, a mint chocolate stout, Black Walnut Dunkel, a German dunkel with Missouri black walnuts and more. Check out this coming soon to St. Louis donut shop while enjoying some featured artisan ales.

repealofprohibition Repeal of Prohibition Beer Festival: Celebrate the Anniversary of The End of Prohibition with 30+ beers from breweries such as Backpocket Brewing Co, Great River Brewery, Peace Tree Brewing Co, Schlafly and more, plus live music from Swing DeVille. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door and include a commemorative tasting glass and unlimited beer tastings.

stl pillow fight 2nd Annual International Pillow Fight Day: STL Improv Anywhere is back at it, finding fun, unique ways to bring the St. Louis community together (i.e. No Pants Metrolink Ride). Grab a pillow, jazz it up (or don’t) and head to Forest Park to join the city-wide pillow fight. There are rules to this event such as: No violence, no feather pillows, no pillows with zippers or snaps and don’t swing at people who are pillow-less. Costumes are encouraged as well as fun pillow designs. #pillowfightstl

Go! St. Louis Marathon 13th Annual Go! St. Louis Marathon & Fitness Weekend: This event includes races for all ages and fitness levels with a marathon, 1/2 marathon, relay, 5K run/walk, children’s fun run, wheelchair marathon and mature mile. All participants will receive a race t-shirt, post race food including Ted Drewes, Michelob Ultra after party, individual race photos, a finisher’s medal and entertainment throughout the race. More than $45,000 in prizes will be given away to top finishers. In addition to the races, Chafeitz Arena will host the Health & Fitness Expo on Fri & Sat.

Saturday: Health & Fitness Expo at Chafeitz Arena from 10am-7pm, Races in Forest Park beginning at 8am

Queeny Art Fair Queeny Park Art Fair: One of the longest running art fairs in the bi-state region with more than 130 artists from 20 states. From clay to digital art to basketry, glass, jewelry, sculpture, photography, wood, water media and more, you will be completely overwhelmed…in the best way. In addition to the art, Three Squirrels Winery will offer wine tastings on Fri from 6-9, & Sat from 4-6. Drawings to receive $100 towards the purchase of a piece of art will be on Saturday and Sunday. And the children’s Art Discovery Adventure will be held on Sunday from 12-4pm.

And last, but most definitely not least, and also not technically the weekend. However, we have pretty much declared it as a St. Louis holiday and therefore it will be a 4 day weekend for most: Cardinals Opening Day. Kiener Plaza will begin the annual rally at 9am with delicious food and drinks from Show-Me’s and live music from My Friend Mike. There will also be tons of Cardinals gear and tons of giveaways.

Time: Party All Day! Rally in Kiener Plaza-9am-2pm. Game starts at 3:15pm
