Small Business Saturday

We all know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but now there is also Small Business Saturday that is less about rock bottom prices and more about supporting your local economy and small business owners in your area.  Not only do you get amazing, usually unique gifts for people on your Christmas list but you are also helping others – now that is the Holiday Spirit I was looking for (and it certainly beats overcrowded stores, crabby shoppers, and incredibly long lines!)! This fabulous infographic shows the impact of supporting small businesses. Last year over 100 million people participated, will you?

The third annual Small Business Saturday is asking people to Shop Small on Saturday, November 24th, 2012!  Their website has a fantastic tool to help make this easy for you.  All you have to do is type in your zip code and it will give you a list of small businesses in your area – there are over 80 businesses listed for St. Louis!

Another great idea to help small businesses in the St. Louis area is to purchase Downtown gift cards this year for everyone on your list!  This gift card can be used at over 130 small businesses downtown – order your gift cards here!

If millions of Americans Shop Small, it will be HUGE!

Let’s all buy local for the Holidays!!
