The time has arrived. Halloween. Chill temperatures. Bonfires. And most importantly…Chili festivals!

If you missed out on the Belleville Chili Cook-off last week because it was windy, rainy and cold…well it doesn’t seem as though this weekend is going to be that much better. But here’s your 2nd chance to indulge in the deliciousness that is chili, so pull out your jackets and scarves and get out to Soulard for the 2nd Annual Chili Festival to support Lift for Life Academy.

Saturday, October 20th
11am-5pm
Lift For Life Academy
1731 S. Broadway (across from Soulard Market)

Here’s how it works:

Visit the chili cook-off website before Saturday to purchase a ticket.

1. Taste of Chili Pass: $7 to sample chili from all 16 vendors with tokens to vote for People’s Choice, Most Creative Dish and Best Decorated Booth.

2. Taste of Beer/Wine and Chili Pass: $15 to sample chili from all 16 vendors plus a commemorative tasting glass to sample four craft beers and/or wines from local vendors with tokens to vote for People’s Choice, Most Creative Dish and Best Decorated Booth.

*If you’re one of the first 50 to purchase a ticket, you’ll receive a commemorative 2nd Annual Chili Festival apron!

Or if you don’t visit the chili cook-off’s website and just show up on Saturday, you can pay $12 at the door for the Taste of Chili Pass or $20 at the door for the Taste of Beer/Wine and Chili Pass.

In  addition to tasting chili from Soulard restaurants such as Molly’s, Llywelyn’s, Hammerstone’s, Big Daddy’s, Epic, 1860’s, Joanie’s, Local Harvest Cafe, Joe’s Chili Bowl, Fritanga, Burger Brothers, Soulard Sweet Treats, Pointer’s Market, Lemp Mansion Restaurant and from the Lafayette Fire Company and personal chef K. Hayden, there will be live music to entertain you throughout the day, a beer and wine garden to help warm you up and a Kid Zone to keep the kids busy while you chow down.

Hurry up and purchase your ticket for the 2nd Annual Chili Festival at Lift For Life Academy to get your commemorative apron and get ready for some amazing chili!

Jessica

Doesn’t know how to cook and survives pretty much on macaroni and cheese and pizza, so naturally, loves to eat out at restaurants. However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
