We’ve all Gone Madigan
One of my favorite memories from college was working with our Campus Activities Board. For two years, I was in charge of our Just for Laughs series. SIUE actually has amazing talent come through like Mike Birbiglia, Dan Ahdoot, Steve Byrne, Demetri Martin, Bob Saget, and Seth Meyers. One of my absolute favorites that came to SIUE also happens to be an alumni and grew up in Missouri, Kathleen Madigan! She also loves golf which makes me smile. On top of all that, she is absolutely hilarious and “Easily one of the best comics alive” according to Ron White, and he knows his stuff! In my (non)expert opinion, she is one of those comedians that you have obviously never met but you watch her on stage and feel like she has been your really funny friend forever – just not in a creepy way.
