Strange Folk Festival 2012

I haven’t been this excited about an ‘Art Fair’ in a really long time!  The Strange Folk Festival is a free event with an amazing collection of over 100 Indie vendors and 10 bands sharing their masterpieces with us.  This festival has all the great ‘art fair’ things as well as amazing twists on the ordinary; I don’t even know where to start but with the Art!

Art – There is truly something for everyone from furniture, jewelry, baby clothes, bags/purses, ceramics, painting,  photography, etc. Some of my favorites include (and those whose photos are displayed)  BlinkBabyRad Mishap & Lavender in Brown.  Check out all the vendors.

Food (a close second to the art) –  Not just beer and cupcakes, but fried tacos, crab rangoon, BBQ, gyros, philly cheese  steak sandwiches, and frozen custard to name a few!

Sounds –  10 bands will adorn the stage this weekend including Nee, Bear Hive, and  Bo and the Locomotive among others!

Play – So many things for children and adults.  This year they will feature a ‘Make Stuff Tent’ where you can make a jump rope, rings, notebooks, and much more!

Upcycle – have to mention this really cool concept.  Bring in items from the artists wish list on this website and you get a discount on merchandise for helping them out.  Check it out!
