Girl Scouts Big Day Event

The Girls Scouts are celebrating 100 years by throwing a huge party in downtown St. Louis on Saturday, September 22, 2012! The BIG Day event stands for Believe in Girls. But you don’t have to be a girl scout to attend, in fact, you don’t even have to be a girl.  This free event is open to everyone and is a great way to spend a Saturday with your family and friends!

Parents, your kids will LOVE this! The party starts at 11am at 18th and Market for the Century of Promise parade with floats, bands, balloons, and even the giant Schnucks shopping cart. FamFest starts at 2:00 at Soldiers Memorial and includes over 150 activities like rock climbing, flash mobs, face painting, and smash zone. For the parents, there will even be a classic antique car show and food trucks. The event concludes with a celebrity concert at 5:30 featuring Disney Channel stars Ryan Beatty, Zendaya, and Katherine Hughes.  Here is a map for all the festivities:
