The London Tea Room…Mmm Good Tea

I’m a coffee junkie, but it’s been so hot lately and my iced coffee just didn’t do it for me today. Lucky for me, right downstairs is arguably the best tea in St. Louis. So I am currently drinking a raspberry green tea, americanized with ice, of course.
The London Tea Room is the brainchild of british expat sisters who were craving a tea room like the motherland. I must say I love the writing style of whomever wrote their story on their website and you simply must get the story straight from there. They serve traditional high tea, which I can assure you is amazing, complete with all sorts of cakes, scones and Quiche all freshly baked. They have a lunch menu with all sorts of sandwiches; my favorite of course being the veggie sandwich. Afternoon tea is done by reservation so call ahead – 314-241-6556.
They sell an amazing assortment of organic, fair trade, loose leaf tea by the pound and all the accessories you need to make it. Relaxing atmosphere, nice staff….oh and they do have coffee too (got me through many days this past winter).
