Halfway To Mardi Gras

The 2013 Mardi Gras Carnival season officially starts on January 6th, 2013 around the world. This Saturday, August 25th, the neighborhood of Soulard will play host to the Halfway To Mardi Gras party from 11am-5pm.
The 2013 season officially opens on January 6th with “12th Night” and runs to Fat Tuesday, February 12th. The River City Grand Parade will take place on Saturday, February 9th.
The Halfway To Mardi Gras party is sponsored by Southern Comfort, a key ingredient in the Hurricanes that are served throughout Soulard during the Mardi Gras season. Cups will be available for purchase throughout the neighborhood for $5. Cups can then be taken to any of the participating establishments in the neighborhood, where specials on food and beverages will be offered.
A variety of prizes will be awarded throughout the event. Toby Keith concert tickets, Cardinals tickets and 2013 Mardi Gras VIP tickets are among the prizes being awarded.
Participating establishments and their drink specials are listed on Mardi Gras Inc and range from Broadway Oyster Bar to the north all the way south to Cat’s Meow. Shuttles will be running throughout the event between the establishments.
