Here's A Post, So Check It Maybe

I have recently found a new set of videos to be distracted by. These would be the song “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen and the subsequent covers. Here’s the official story of how this song seemed to come out of nowhere. The covers are what gets the song stuck in your head. I can’t believe I am so far behind the time on noticing these.

This cover by Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale and others started the trend.

I thought that was kind of lame. The Biebs really doesn’t do anything for me. Either does Ashley Tisdale, pre-nose job or post-nose job.

Then came this Harvard Baseball cover

Of course Los Angeles couldn’t be left out. The Staples Center team filmed their own video.

The Southern Methodist University Women’s Rowing Team decided to one-up the Harvard boys because 1)  they’re prettier and 2) doing the dance upside down totally wins.

If something different is your thing, here’s a profoundly different cover from Ben Howard

Oh wait, here’s one with local flavor. It’s the crew over at KMOV

Then again you could always go with the official music video

But why when the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders filmed their own cover?

While that one relies almost solely on great looking women in bikinis; this Miss USA one hangs its hat on just having a plethora of beautiful women with a sprinkle of Donald Trump and Andy Cohen.
