Trying to get into the holiday spirit but don’t know where to start?

Check out one of these events this Friday night and ease yourself into the holiday spirit:

Friday, December 2, 2011

Holiday Nighttime Tours at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery:

From 6pm to 9pm, you can take a holiday tour of the Brewery decked out in full holiday festivity and check out the Budweiser Clydesdales in all their glory. And while you’re there, maybe you’ll find the perfect gift for a friend or family member in the gift shop. I even have a coupon for you. Bam! One down…hopefully not too many more to go.

All That Glitters in Shaw Park:

Perfect event for a date or family fun. Shaw Park is hosting FREE ice skating and hot chocolate from 6 to 10pm and fireworks at 8pm. Get there early and be treated to a free horse-drawn carriage ride complete with holiday carolers. Perfect way to kick off the season and for free, so you still have money left for buying gifts.

Ice Skating in the Heart of downtown St. Louis:

The Rink on Market Street between 14th and 15th Street, across from the Peabody Opera House, is a new ice skating rink. It’s amazing how downtown is being revitalized! What a perfect way to get in the holiday spirit. Walk through the City Garden and admire the lights, then go ice skating. This is a great opportunity as it’s been a decade since there’s been ice skating in downtown St. Louis and who knows if it will happen again next year. There will be music and snacks and beverages as well and it’s only $6.

I hope these inexpensive, not too overwhelming holiday events will be just what was needed to push you over the edge into that holiday spirit. Good luck and I hope you’re feeling extra festive next weekend because it’s about to get Christmas crazy!

Jessica

Doesn’t know how to cook and survives pretty much on macaroni and cheese and pizza, so naturally, loves to eat out at restaurants. However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
