One thing St. Louisians can’t get enough of are their beverage tasting festivals…and October is the perfect month to indulge. You can actually enjoy outdoor beer drinking without sweating to death. There are 2 happening in St. Louis this weekend:

Missouri Botanical Garden’s 4th Annual Fest of Ale is tonight, Friday October 14th from 6-10pm. It includes live music, appetizers, and beer tasting from a variety of local breweries including: 4 Hands, Augusta, Crown Valley, Ferguson, Kirkwood Station, Six Row, Schlafly and more. There will also be a raffle for an iPad2! Cost is $15 for Young Friend members and $30 for general public.

Then there’s the annual Monsters of Beer Festival on Saturday, October 15th from 2-5pm at the Stable Brewhouse located in Benton Park on the corner of Cherokee and Lemp. The tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. You’ll enjoy unlimited samples of more than 25 of the best high gravity and high alcohol beers from the top craft brewers across the world. There will also be live music during the event.

Make a day of it: Head to Soulard to enjoy the delicious chili at the Soulard Chili Festival, then jump over to the Monsters of Beer Festival right down the street.

Doesn’t know how to cook and survives pretty much on macaroni and cheese and pizza, so naturally, loves to eat out at restaurants. However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
