Did someone say Sugar Ray??

Sugar Ray

Oh yeah, and there’s a race too. This weekend, the Solutia Rock n Roll Marathon will be taking over St. Louis!
marathon

When and Where: Sunday, October 23rd starting at 7:30am at Market and Tucker and ending at Chestnut and 15th

What: A half and full marathon that starts downtown, then winds through St. Louis, from Tower Grove Park, to Tilles Park, to Carondelet Park, then back to downtown for a finale festival and concert, which concludes with a performance by Sugar Ray!

What else: This is going to be huge! Even if you’re not running, come and cheer on these amazing runners and enjoy fun, dancing, and music! There will be live music and cheerleaders at every mile mark. Additionally it supports a really great cause: TASK (Team Activities for Special Kids).

Additionally there will be a Fitness Expo at the America’s Center open to the general public on Friday, Oct 21st from noon-7pm and Saturday, Oct 22nd from 9am-5pm. There will be tons of exhibitors offering free samples of sports apparel and health and nutrition items.

You can literally go anywhere to cheer since the race runs all over the city and there will be stations at every mile, but if you want to be near the start and finish line, you may want to map out how to get there well in advance. It’s going to be pretty hectic and the list of road closures is very long!

My suggestion: Take the Metrolink or park away from the hustle and bustle in a paid parking garage and walk….oh, and I’ll be there handing out Lovin the Lou t-shirts so find me and snag one before their gone!

Doesn’t know how to cook and survives pretty much on macaroni and cheese and pizza, so naturally, loves to eat out at restaurants. However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
