The Hill is hosting the annual Columbus Day Parade and Festival this Sunday, October 9, 2011.  The parade kicks off at noon at the corner of Kingshighway and Southwest and it winds through the neighborhood ending at Berra Park for a fantastic Italian festival (ending at 6:00pm).  The festival will include music, food, and fun activities.  Did I mention all the food is from the amazing Italian restaurants on The Hill?  Joe Boccardi’s is even hosting a meatball eating contest with really great prizes if you claim the title…will they call you a meathead?  The most exciting thing outside of the Italian music and food will be Bocce Ball!  If you haven’t played I highly suggest you try it out, totally fun and addictive!

Bring the Kids out for a great day on The Hill this weekend and pretend you get a day off work Monday for Columbus Day!  It is slated to be pretty sunny and 85 degrees.  We will have our Italian flag flying!
