What’s happening this weekend you ask?? Oh, just another AMAZING St. Louis food tasting event. As if Food Truck Friday and Rib America weren’t enough, they go and add chocolate icing with rainbow sprinkles on top and call it…

Taste of St. Louis

Yes, it’s been around for years, but it’s one of the top events of the year, and it highlights all of the amazing reasons to love St. Louis.

#1: The Food: There will be 45 different restaurants showcasing foods such as: Cajun, sushi, ribs, wings, hot dogs, gyros, ethiopian, chocolate covered frozen bananas, ice cream, cupcakes, and so much more! A must eat are the kick ass fries from Bella Catering!

#2: The Music: So many bands, so little time. Various local St. Louis bands will be playing throughout the entire festival, with  favorites such as Fat Pocket and Jake Austin and the City Limits along with 13 others. Come out and support your local St. Louis bands for free!

#3: The Art: There’s a whole separate section with just insane amounts of artwork being displayed. So grab a glass of wine, take a walk and witness the amazing artistic talent pulsing through St. Louis.

#4: Free stuff: Yes I said it…hey, everyone loves free stuff! And there will be so many free enter to win contests with prizes such as: a free tv, trip to Riviera Maya, and XBox 360 Kinect, not to mention other random items that will be given away by sponsors and vendors.

Where: Soldier’s Memorial Park (downtown Market and 14th)

When: Friday Sept 23rd – Sunday Sept 25th

Time:  Friday from 4pm-11pm, Saturday from 11am-11pm, Sunday from 11am-9pm

Cost: FREE admission, roughly $3-$10 per food item

Doesn’t know how to cook and survives pretty much on macaroni and cheese and pizza, so naturally, loves to eat out at restaurants. However, one day when she is married and has a family to cook for, she would love to take cooking classes and learn awesome skills like the chefs on Iron Chef America...as long as she doesn't have to clean the dishes afterwards.
