This weekend brings back a flood of memories from a day that changed America forever.  One day in history that we will never forget.  The day that all Americans stood in front of their television with emotions of shock, fear, sadness, anger, and uncertainty radiating through their bodies.  This weekend, the Firefighters in the St. Louis metro area will pay tribute to all the victims of 9-11.

Friday, September 9th – Firefighters Ball

Saturday, September 10th – Great Fire Engine Rally & Parade

The parade begins at the intersection of Market and N. 20th Street downtown at 10:00am.  Don’t forget to bring some earplugs, it’s gonna be loud!!  The parade will showcase 100 fire trucks and host a flea market and area for children’s activities throughout the day at Soldier’s Memorial.  Directly after the parade, the firefighters will perform live demonstrations on water rescues, auto extractions, hazmat drills, and bedroom fire demos.

Sunday, September 11th – St. Louis Region 9-11 Memorial Service

Sunday on Art Hill at 8:46am, the exact time 10 years ago that Flight 11 crashed into tower 1 of the World Trade Center, St. Louis Firefighters will hold a memorial service honoring all the victims with a 2-sided memorial wall with all the names, several pictures, and life stories of our hero’s from that terrible day.  The memorial service will include guest speakers and inspirational music.
