The Most Dangerous Game

Dangerous Game I would like to rewrite the famous short story “The Most Dangerous Game”, I truly believe hunting man is much easier than my suggested change. The modern day version would be, Job Hunting [enter scary music].

It’s truly the most dangerous game that always leaves you fatigued and wanting more.  Recently, I graduated from Southern Illinois University and now I’m in the very scary job market.  I have drafted enough cover letters and resumes to blanket Times Square in confetti, no joke!  In the original short story we are quickly captivated and do not necessarily expect the plot twist.

I feel it’s the same way in the current job market, an interesting and qualified job lead lands on your beach.  You treat it to a party of  resumes, portfolios, cover letters, and well thought out adjectives, then it runs away and you have to hunt it!  At first it seemed like you had catered to its every need and it was pleased with you, but then it became the hardest thing to catch.

I hope each of you are finding your way if your on the job market, and if you already have a secure job receive encouragement. My hope is I will catch my prey (a job)!
