Remember the classic sign on to AOL back in the day…then: YOU’VE GOT MAIL.  Meg Ryan nailed it when she described this feel good moment in her 1998 film. However after high speed Internet, multiple email accounts, viruses, and junk mail, the newness has worn off.

Recently I had a friend write me a letter. It was in an envelope with a stamp and was sent accross multiple states. It made me feel soo good! It was not a Facebook wall message, or even an email, but something that took a little more effort. After I realized how good it made me feel to receive a classic letter, I have been trying to send out more. Instead of a “happy birthday text”, I want to send a card to their house.

Maybe I am a little old fashioned…thoughts?
