Running and not being chased
Fact:Running is good. Fact: Running doesn’t always feel good.
I have never been a runner. You know those girls with a cute little outfits, sweet shoes, and rock hard abs, who are not ashamed to run down the main street in town? That is most definitely not me!
However, I do love to run trails and other places apart from where there are a ton of cars coming by. About three or four years ago I ran trails at a park near my house. Then I gave up for some reason..I think it was when I moved.
More recently I started running again and I am hooked. I forgot how good runner’s high feels. I have no fancy outfit, outdated tennis shoes, and rock hard abs are just a dream. But…I get the best feeling when I run and especially after. I get so much energy after running and have such an intense sense of accomplishment. I seriously feel like I have conquered the entire world. 🙂
Running, not only is good for my health, but teaches me discipline outside of running itself. It makes me want to accomplish things and push myself past what I “think” that I can do.
My sister wrote a great blog about running called Run the Race that was very inspiring. This blog combined with my own desire to be a runner, and more than that have discipline, has made me press through any stomach cramps or weak moments while running.
I will run even when it doesn’t feel good. Fact:I can do it.
