La Casa Mexicana

Nate at La Casa I love good Mexican food, my absolute favorite is Casa Ramero in Wood River.  Close to home, fast, friendly and fresh.  A friend of ours informed us that this was his favorite too, until he tried La Casa Mexican in Edwardsville.  Locate in a strip mall near Dierbergs we drove by this place time and time again.  Until finally it was time to a Mexican night.

When you go inside it is very festively decorated, you pretty much forget that you are at the end of a strip mall.  Intricate chairs and tables are all around.  I was disappointed, as I am with nearly all Mexican restaurants, to find that it had the standard menu.  Seriously, so they print these things in bulk and just change the names?  The food was good, but standard, we shared the veggie fajitas (I can’t believe that is supposed to be for one person).  Overall, it was good.  The food wasn’t greasy, the place is cool to look at and it was clean.  We will definitely be back!!
