So about two months ago, my roommate and I decided we don’t watch enough tv to pay $70 per month to Charter for 99 channels, so as her graduation present I got us…I mean…her, a NetFlix subscription. And we don’t need a special remote control or cable box or any of that jazz.
We can watch hundreds of tv shows, new and old(we are currently in the middle of a Buffy The Vampire Slayer series marathon), and get unlimited movie DVDs sent in the mail. I mean, it’s impossible to find a video store these days, and don’t get me wrong, RedBox is fantastic, but it’s far more convenient to grab a movie out of my mailbox than it is to drive to the nearest grocery store or McDonald’s in my new polar bear pjs and slippers to pick it up.
Did you know you can use your Wii, XBox, or PlayStation to watch those movies? You can also download the movies onto your computer, and then run a cord from your computer to the tv, so you can watch the movie that you downloaded on the tv screen. And if there are any shows that aren’t on NetFlix, you can usually find them on Hulu or some other free online website. It’s the era of technology, explore it!
Oops, I forgot to mention the price…$10 per month. And do you know Charter’s been calling me like once a week trying to get me to add all these services back and they still can’t provide me with a price even close to what I’m getting with NetFlix! No thanks Charter, no more outrageous prices for this girl!Brought to you by Mills Properties
